Industrial laser cleaning in Devon & Cornwall.

Dry, non-abrasive cleaning of plant, tooling and fabrications, usually carried out in place and planned around your production schedule. No blast media and no solvent baths.

What we clean

Plant, tooling and fabrication.

Laser cleaning suits industrial work where abrasive media would get into machinery, solvents are hard to manage, or downtime needs to be short. We clean on site or in our workshop.

  • Production tooling, jigs and fixtures
  • Injection moulds, dies and press tools
  • Pre-weld and post-weld cleaning, including heat tint
  • Surface preparation for NDT inspection
  • Rust, scale and coatings on structural steel and plant
  • Carbon, oil and process residue on machinery and conveyors

Suitable materials

Common industrial substrates.

Carbon & stainless steel

Fabrications, structural steel and plant. Heat tint and oxide removed from stainless welds.

Tool steels

Moulds, dies and tooling. Low-energy settings are used to protect polished and textured faces.

Aluminium & cast iron

Castings, housings and machine bodies, cleaned of oil, carbon and coatings.

Plastics, rubber seals, painted labels and some composites can be damaged by the beam. These are masked, removed or avoided, and we will tell you in advance what needs protecting.

Our approach

Planned around your production.

Step 01

Site review

We look at the equipment, contamination and access, and agree when it can be taken out of service.

Step 02

Trial

A test area confirms the finish and the cleaning rate, so the shutdown can be planned accurately.

Step 03

Clean in place

Work is carried out in a controlled laser area with extraction, usually without stripping down the equipment.

Step 04

Record

Settings, photos and any observations are recorded so the clean can be repeated consistently.

Precautions

What we manage on an industrial site.

Isolation

Equipment must be isolated and made safe under your site procedures before we start.

Sensitive components

Seals, wiring, sensors and labels near the work area are masked or protected.

Fume & waste

Fume and particulate are captured by HEPA-filtered extraction. Waste and used filters are disposed of according to what was removed.

Controlled area

A barriered laser area keeps staff and visitors safe, with screening where the line stays running nearby.

Site paperwork

RAMS, insurance and equipment details are supplied before the visit, and we follow your permit-to-work system.

Fire risk

Oil, dust and flammable residues are checked and managed before cleaning begins.

Service coverage

On site across the South West.

We are based near Kingsbridge and work at factories, plants and workshops throughout Devon and Cornwall. Smaller parts and tooling can also be brought to our workshop.

Common questions

Does the equipment need to be dismantled?

Usually not. Most cleaning is done in place, with sensitive parts masked or removed.

Can you work during a planned shutdown?

Yes. We schedule work around your shutdown or changeover windows, including evenings and weekends by arrangement.

Will it affect the finish on a mould or tool?

With correct settings the tool finish is retained. We confirm this on a test area before cleaning the working faces.

How to enquire

Tell us about the equipment.

Send details of the equipment, the contamination and your preferred timing, with photographs if possible. We will recommend an approach and send a clear quote.
